Important Announcement: The MCS program stopped accepting new majors and minors on September 1, 2022. All students currently enrolled in the MCS major or minor will be able to complete these degree programs. Starting on September 1, 2022, students interested in Mathematical & Computational Science should explore the opportunities in the new Data Science program. The Data Science B.S. has requirements very similar to those of MCS.

MCS tracks

Concentrations of course options to enhance the MCS major

MCS program has designed three tracks to allow majors to pursue their interests in fields where applied mathematics and statistical analysis is utilized. Declared MCS majors are not required to choose a track.

The Biology track is intended for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the bioinformatics and biostatistics related fields.

Our Engineering track was added to for those who wanted further concentration in engineering courses.

The newest track in Statistics enables students to seek a more comprehensive background in the statistical discipline.
