Please join the Data Science Major and Stanford Data Science in a special lecture on the Context and Effective Use of Data Science with guest lecturers Dr. Alfred Spector, MIT Visiting Scholar (EECS) and Dr. Peter Norvig, Stanford Distinguished Education Fellow (HAI). Spector and Norvig are the authors of Data Science in Context. In their talk, they will place data science techniques and applications in context by presenting a practical “Analysis Rubric” for applying data science effectively and demonstrating the rubric through discussion of some examples. They will also share an applied ethics model for analyzing applications of the field.
