MCS guest speaker: Kristian Lum (winter quarter)

Thursday, January 26, 2017 11:15 AM
MCS faculty advisers
Sequoia Hall, room 100

Our guest speaker series is about bringing people with academic or professional backgrounds that are relevant to the MCS major and sharing their knowledge and experiences with you all.

January’s speaker is a Statistician from the Human Rights Data Analysis Group. She’ll give a short talk/presentation about what her organization does and answer your questions afterward.
Check our her bio page for details about her research: Kristian Lum, Phd (https://hrdag.org/people/kristian-lum-phd/)

Our event will be posted in the UAR weekly newsletter. Be sure to invite with your friends who are interested in MCS (and Data Science!).
Her talk will start around 12:30.

We hope you can all come to hear her talk. If you can’t stay the entire time, drop by when you can - mingle with other MCS students for a bit.

We are serving pizza, fresh fruit and dessert!

Mark your calendars ~
